The watchtower behind the wires . . ..
Yes, those cursed wires. As you know, England runs most of its phone cables underground. Canada still suspends most above the streets, ruining the beauty of the country.
The tones of the sky was changing so fast that I didn’t have time to run up past the wires to make this shot. I would prefer it without the wires but being a rural image, they wires still belong here. The phone has long been the periphery’s leading means of communication with the urban centre of the city; a definite reality of the area that tries so hard to remain independent.
