Delta Block

Delta Block

I’ve shot NYC’s Flatiron Building before – the Fuller Building. This one doesn’t compare but it’s interesting nevertheless.

This wedge shaped landmark marks the scissor-like intersection of King and Main Streets, and the border between the neighbourhoods of Delta West and Crown Point West. It’s just a shame that it’s so difficult to obtain any history on the edifice.

Every city should have a Flatiron Building.

    • Thank you. I really wanted to ensure that the lights would be bright enough to add pleasing contrast to the scene. The ground floor has been occupied by a Pizza Pizza restaurant for many years now, and the chain definitely has actractive sinage. I preferred, however, to bleach out the signs above the large bay windows through a long 13 second exposure and post prod.
