Out in the Middle of Nowhere

    • Thanks, Paula. It was a beautiful day of moderate temperature to just get away and breathe for a while. I digitally post-processed the sky as though I used a red filter to darken it. I wanted to bring out the enduring calmness of the landscape beneath the waning turbulence of the skies.

It’s not a cornfield. It’s actually full of wild grasses. Probably a mix of phragmites, Smooth Brome and Kalm’s Brome which are all quite common, and actually invasive, throughout the province of Ontario. These are the same grasses seen in “Irresistable Charm” (https://hammerhomestreetphotography.wordpress.com/2014/02/07/local-views-17/).

This field is along side Stoney Creek Road in the rural community of Binbrook; beautiful countryside.
