True Colours

A Touch of Sass

Am I a tour guide ? I usually think of a tour guide as someone who knows a lot about some place that they show off to others. I don’t feel that I have a right to say that I know plenty about “The Hammer”. A key reason why I started this project is to discover what I don’t know about my city. I sort of see myself as an ambassador but I guess that too requires considerable insider knowledge.

One thing that I can say that I know about my town, and love, is our spunkiness. Truth be told, some of us are far too bold for our own good and others could use a little pep but overall the Hamiltonian sense of confidence really is a trait to be admired. I don’t really have to show that off. If you come here, you’ll just see it for yourself in no time at all.

    • Thanks Lisa. It’s an oldie that I hadn’t done anything with until now. I shot it years ago during the last Caribbean parade and festival that was held in this city. It’s too bad that there’s so much difficulty in trying to resurrect the event, and keep it going.
